EMT

Emergency Medical Technician

MR. Basore
My true color was yellow and my career was EMT. They are clinical technicians that respond to any issue that is presented. EMT's make 14 dollars per hour and make 31,000 per year. They must work for at least 3 days straight including nights. Also, they must go through basic training for three months. In this training, they learn how to use the medical equipment and practice different ways to lift injured patients. My counselor that I choose was Dr. Margaret Quinones helped me plan my career as an EMT. She helped me by giving me a facsimile copy of the EMT outline to show me all the classes I need to take.

For my interview, I decide to ask a former EMT, named Kyle Bashore. He worked as an EMT for eight years and has lots of knowledge on how to become one. During his time as an EMT he was advocate as captain and oversaw his group. After he retired as an EMT he decided to become a Health instructor for, Cathedral City High School in palm springs. One thing that I learned from him was, being away for so long from you family is hard and the scenarios that you face could be hard. What makes him symmetrical is that he is not scared to tell you the hard parts of the jobs, because he wants to make sure that you know the truth about it. I asked him about the training and he responded, “The training is hard but it shows you how to safe other and how to maintain yourself safe during your job”. I finish by asking him if the job was worth it. He responded “If you love your job, then it’s worth it but being in the actual job can make you think it twice”. From this I learned to choose wisely and to do the things I love to do and not what I think I’ll like to do.

Blog #2,

As my true color green I am in need of answers, seeking knowledge and explanations. I am reserved, very emotional and a thinker in life. Greens tend to be insightfull, tenacious in their work and expressive when they show there personal side.  One of my careers I matched with was Business management also known as business administrators, chief executive officers (CEO) and more.

Business managers coordinate business activities in private industry and public agencies. They are responsible for operations of how well a business is performing, organizing and purchasing more products. Business managers use leadership skills and give a direction to others to get the task done. I have decided to persue this career in life to become successful. While doing my research I uncovered that business managers make about $6,600 a month without overtime included. My initial thought on the job was it was rudimentary  but after interviewing a business executive I realize it is harder than it seems. Graham Martin who is currently business manager at G-Imports told me his work days are 8-10 hours just at the shop, but when he gets home he tends to do more research and work for the job. Graham did not have a business degree when initially getting the job but now that is something required by most companies. He told me you cannot be reticent for this job, you have to be very out spoken and know what you are talking about. Graham told me he loves his job and is currently trying to go back to school online to get a degree in Business management. Graham helped me understand the responsibilities in becoming a business manager.

Learning more about this mesmerizing job I talked to a counselor to know the basics of getting a degree in this area of interest. Maribel Hernandez helped me find all the classes I would need to take in order to fill the requirements for a business management degree. She also told me that I would need to transfer to a school with business as one of there majors in order to get a bachelors degree. El Camino has a lot of economic and business classes here but she said if i want to further my career I would need to transfer somewhere. Maribel also told me about some of her connections with people who also are in this industry. She seemed very interested to help me transfer somewhere close to home.

Physical Therapist

The color that I got was Green from that Color Test, and one of the selection was a Physical Therapist. I've thought of and liked the idea of being a Physical Therapist, so I researched and studied on what Physical Therapists do and built an interest in their career. Physical Therapist has clients or patients and sits with them to examine their body, to see how their body is and if there are any type of injuries or anything in that area, and how they can help the patients. As a person myself that loves the physical movements of human bodies, and personally having muscle and bone complications, I grew a interest in this career.

So to know more about this mesmerizing human body, I went and talked to the counselor about the path I can take to achieve this job. With a bolster from the Counselor, I learned that the best path to take in order to get the Physical Therapist job was to take Kinesiology class, and luckily, we had just that here in El Camino. Further more she gave me more information about the class and which schools are experts at it, and concluded that CSULB, the Cal State University of Long Beach had one of the best programs for Kinesiology. Taking that course will branch off to many different types of Physical studies, things I've never even heard of before, so that was pretty interesting.

So luckily at my work, there was an employee that worked as a personal trainer, also a physical therapist. I asked him about the job, how he got to it, and how it is, and what type of experiences will help me get the job. A lot of the things he told me was something that I already knew, but I did grab new information that I never knew, such as taking such classes that helps you with communications, basically social skills, and learning how to cope with others, and bunch of other experiences needed in order to achieve such job. I was overwhelmed by it at first, but I accepted the truth. Also he told that being a physical therapist isn't a easy job. You need to make certain schedules for certain patients at certain times, and that I would need to give up a lot of my time and the things I love to do, so that I can achieve this job. I accepted it all, but the road ahead did look hard and stumpy. But I listened through it all, just imaging that one day, there will be a contingency of me becoming a physical therapist.

My Family

My name is Kelly and I have a small family of three. I have my strong and independent mom named Noemi, and my silly and smart brother named Kevin. To many people, my family is real small and all, but to me it just means that there is more love to go around. These are two very amazing and wonderful people that I have as family. They are the ones that keep me going and get me motivated. The love that I have for them is unconditional. I know that no matter where life decides to take me, they will be right behind me to keep me moving forward. They make me extremely euphoric.

One of my best friends is my mom. I chose this photo because it shows how close and happy we are with one another. She has been there for me through everything. I admire the fact that she has been there for me because she wants to, and not because she "has to". Every time I need someone to talk to or need some advice, she always seems to be the person I look for. I know that I can really count on her with everything. This women is seriously more than just a mom to me, she is my role model. I want to be as caring and helpful as she is. I have learned that being humble and giving gets you places in life. Everywhere she goes, she seems to earn every ones respect; that is real hard to do because people are not easily pleased. she never tries to make people like her, for some reason it just happens. She lightens up my life with her personality.

Another close person that I have in my life is my little brother Kevin. I chose this photo because it shows of how much he makes me smile/laugh, and what a good time we always have when we are together. He has an inane and facetious personality. He is the one I go to when I need a smile in my face or want to just have a good time in general. He has also been there for me, for as long as I can remember. Because he is my only sibling he has to deal with my problems all the time. Whenever I am feeling down, I know he will always be there to try and make me life. We have our ups and downs here and there, but I am so glad that we have more ups and downs. He plays a very important role in my life because he had taught me to live my life to the fullest and not worry about anyone about myself. He has also taught me that you can't make everyone happy, so just worry about making yourself happy, and nothing else.

Hello, my name is Sarah.
I have a family of seven and for the most part we are all very euphoric. My parents are divorced so I technically have two families? Explaining the dynamics of it is complicated but I love my family.
I have an older brother, Emmanuel, but we call him Lino, hes twenty-four. I also have three younger brothers. Luke is the oldest of the three, he is sixteen. Matthew is six and Noah just turned five.
My father is a very hard worker,  he always shows up to each and every one of, all three of my younger brothers games, including mine (when I did play soccer). So hes my cheerleader. One of my favorite memories with my father as a toddler, is dancing with him in the morning to barbie and the nutcracker. My father and I would copy every dance move; even when he had to lift me to do a special stunt. He's great.
My mom is a soccer coach at A.Y.S.O and has coached my brothers (Lino and Luke)and I for several years growing up. My mother enjoys coaching so much that she has several teams to this day. she is rarely ever dormant, shes always up to something.
My brothers and I have played soccer since we were little kids, so soccer plays a big part in my family.

I love and adore my crazy family. They make me feel that I can reach my zenith and that gives me complete solace to know I always have them by my side.

My Talent of Playing Being Athletic

Take a good look at me. Yes I am a girl, I am short, and fragile looking, I am what you call a rudimentary girl. Do not be so quick to instigate, I promise you that I am not your average 17 year old girl as appearances can fool. I love sports. Watching and playing sports is my favorite hobby. My favorite sport is soccer. I am very euphoric when I watch soccer and when I play I tend to play very aggressive. I played varsity soccer my four years in high school and to top it off I also played in many community teams (6 to be exact) at the same time.
Junior Year

In fact soccer was not the only sport I played, I also played softball, football, basketball and volleyball. Any new sport that I try I tend to not fritter and begin to practice extremely hard and repetitively. I am not one to squelch when participating in these sports. The more sports I try and play I notice that many coaches are surprised on how fast I pick up the sport. I analyze and adapt quickly and learn from my mistakes which lead me to become robust in the sport. Playing sports just comes natural to me and most of the time I strive on that natural talent.
Freshman Year

Now looking back at my appearance, you may be surprised to see that I am more than just a girl. I am an athlete.

South Los Angeles

My name is Kevin Trejo, I was born and raised in South Los Angeles also known as “South Central”.  The approximate population is 749,453 it is divided into 28 neighborhoods. South Los Angeles has had a reputation of gang violence and poverty. This community has many landmarks like Watts’s towers, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Sports Arena, USC, and Coca-Cola building. These communities has been dominated by middle class Latinos and African Americans. As a member of these neighborhoods I can tell you South Central can be a dangerous or a euphoric place to live. A dangerous place because of all the crime and drugs but a also a protective and safe environment. It really depends on how you treat the city and people who live here. With my 19 years living in South Central I have come to learn many things about myself and life lessons on respect, responsibility and ambition. Los Angeles would not be the same without this community.

Boom Bap

Hip hop has always been a big part of my life and i have always enjoyed the old music of the late 19th  century. I soon discovered that hip hop acknowledges such old music. Known as the term "sampling" or "crate digging" and I soon fell in love and was Euphoric with the concept of boom bap hip hop and it has grew on me ever since i was a child and I plan to expand the culture of hip hop in that form to any one who is curious of what it can offer. It can open up new doors to lyrical poets and those who can cooperate with the vibe that the certain beat provides, the beat i provide, from the sample that the music provided Music takes a big part in mexican heritage and i plan to create a modern style of it in this generation. I also plan to be the optimum of the style when it comes more itnto action out of my friends.I have one hobby and that is producing Boom Bap Hip Hop which i very special to me and was always the style of instrumentals I grew up with. The style of music can become Gregarious for the people and show them new strings to music I love the environment of it and how a personal creation or production can stand for ant meaning, past or future. I plan to do much more than where i stand with it nut I will go far as long as I remember where i come from and where I mean to go well. It has become very great in the process so far and I can see it come together.

Compton, CA

Hi , My name is Kevin Lara
My friend's car with the courthouse in the background
I am from Compton,CA this place is pretty old and well known too. It was also home to some very famous people in the music industry such as N.W.A & Kendrick Lamar. Knowing that makes me proud of being from here. Before people were more likely to instigate a fight here but crime has toned down a bit. The Compton Court House is probably the most noticeable thing if you ever come down here it is a very tall building it can be spotted from miles away.
The City of Compton is being worked on every day so it can look as infallible as it can be. If you're into Pokemon Go i'd recommend going to the Compton Train Station ( MLK Transit Center) because there is a lot of pokestops near and a gym. One of of the places to visit was the Compton Fashion Center it was probably one of the most popular places to go to if you were a tourist but it is now closed for good.
What once was the Compton Fashion Center
Places I like to go to around here are the Compton Towne Center it has many stores such as Target, Gamestop, Best Buy. Places to eat like Wingstop , Panda Express Ono Hawaiian BBQ & more. I like living here & I will always corroborate Compton because it is my home.

Mi Familia

My name is Breanna Beas Garcia. My dad's name is Luis Beas and my mom's name is Yeeni Beas. I am the oldest child and have two younger brothers. Damien, who is 14 and Isaac, who is 9. I come from a very big, united Mexican family. My family is from a small town in Jalisco, Mexico named Juchitlan. My family really means everything to me. Without them, I am nothing. I'm blessed to have a very supportive and motivational family. We do everything together. We enjoy going to charreadas which is basically like a rodeo, horseback riding, listening to Mexican music, dancing etc.We are very fun to be around with, are facetious, and also gregarious. I would rather be with my family than to go out with my friends. I am very family oriented. It's nothing but great vibes and laughs being with my family. I have a huge family, I only know about half of them.
We are not ostentatious, we are very humble. I was raised in a household where I learned how to cook and clean at a young age.  We learned to always work hard for what we want and not get things handed to us. Almost all of my family migrated from Mexico to the United States for a better life. My family has motivated me so much to always follow me dreams and never give up.

Hawthorne, CA.

My name is Alyssa Hernandez. I was born and raised in Hawthorne, California. Hawthorne is an averaged sized city with a population of about 87,000 people. I have lived in the same house ever since I was born. My hometown is special because it has a neighborly feel to it. Everyone is very gregarious and always willing to help when you need it. After all, Hawthorne is the "City of Good Neighbors." The best place to eat in Hawthorne is called Frijoles. It is a local, authentic Mexican restaurant that has the best dry bean and cheese burrito. the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. The funnest place to hang out after having your dry bean and cheese burrito at Frijoles is Eucalyptus park, nicknamed "The Dirty" by locals. It is a very safe park since there is always police there arresting people who are doing stuff they probably shouldn't be doing. Being at "The Dirty" makes me feel euphoric when I am hanging out with my friends. The famous band, The Beach Boys,  originated in Hawthorne! In fact, they lived a couple of blocks down from my house. Although Hawthorne is not a touristy city, it is still a very special place to me and everyone else who lives in this remarkable city as well.

My family

My name is Roberto Castaneda Sanchez Jr. or as my family calls  me by  Buddy. This blog is about  my family. I have a big family so I might not have enough time to talk about all my family. I have 3 uncles, 4 tias and 13 cousins. Every weekend  at my grandmas house there was a function. When we lost the house our family lost our old connection. That house meant a lot to us because that were my family grew up. My mom is a person who gets mad quick, I find it funny so I like to joke around with her a lot. My dad is a funny but serious type guy. I use to live with him some of high school and middle school. We get into a lot of arguments even though we are best friends. Then there is my Tia Celia, she is funny and likes to play around. When me and my cousins are around she will joke around with us a lot. I am currently living with her. My uncle Tony was a father figure when my dad wasn't their for me. he is a always serious so he isn't much fun to be around. But on the other hand he is a smart man. He has a lot of advice to give to anyone who is willing to listen. This is just some of my family members.

Mazatlan my hometown

Image result for mazatlan sinaloa clavadistaI was born in LA but as a newborn I was taken to my hometown Mazatlan. I lived there for about 10 years and it was wonderful. Mazatlan is located on the coast of Sinaloa and it is most known for being a city with much tourism. This city is a prime location for tourism because of their sandy beaches and the malecon which is like a boardwalk. The malecon is embellished with street performers and food vendors. One of the most know places on the malecon is the clavadista that is where you can go see divers jump from a height of 2.5 meters its a euphoric experience to see someone dive from that high. This is just one of the many attractions of this city. Some other attractions would be Plaza Machado, the aquario, Las tres islas, the seashell museum and even the downtown area is a high tourist attraction. If you ever decide to go to this impeccable city you must go during the month of march when they have their annual week long carnaval and after that week they have la semana de la moto where motorcyclists come from all around the world to drive down the malecon and while you are there don't forgot to ride the pulmonia Mazatlan's version of the taxi.
